Civil liberties groups are demanding a more thorough investigation after it emerged a Queensland man who died during an arrest last week may have been tasered by police more than 20 times.
Either the fools don’t know how to use the gun or they intended to…aww, hell. They’d never do that, right?
And here’s the main problem with the police in any country:
Further testing is being done but the police union is standing by the officer who fired the weapon.
To the death they will defend them and theirs even when it’s obvious wrong was done. If more actually spoke out against their corrupt or thuggish brethren there just wouldn’t be as many problems in (all the) forces active in the world.
Mr. Leavers did have a good suggestion, though: mounted cameras on all Tasers so that they can be properly analyzed. I can agree with this. Something right at your hand seems to me to be something that could easily be tampered with, moreso than a dash cam. How do you make it so they couldn’t just zap someone and then point the camera somewhere else while they beat the living shit out of someone? Also, will it pick up audio? Audio’s important.
I’m sure you’ll work out the anti-tampering ideas.
